Port Hawkesbury – Town of Port Hawkesbury Coronavirus (Covid 19) Preparedness and  Intervention Measures

 

At a special emergency meeting of Council, Sunday, March 15, it was decided that the following closures will take place effective immediately.   

  • The Arena facility is closed which includes the walking track.
  • The Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre Fitness Centre is closed.
  • If visits to the Town Municipal administrative offices are required, please contact the Town office to make an appointment at 902-625-7893.
  • The public is encouraged to make Town bill payments online. Any in person payment is to be made by debit or cheque only. Until restrictions in municipal offices are lifted, any daily interest charges will be waived.
  • A Novel Coronavirus (Covid 19) Pandemic Preparedness Plan has been accepted by Council and will be posted Monday, March 16, 2020.       
  • All Council meetings will be closed to the public and media and will be recorded and posted to the Town Facebook site.
