Notice to Residents – Asphalt Repairs

Work to complete asphalt repairs on Town streets is well underway and remains a priority. Public Works have been preparing pothole areas for permanent repair by milling out small sections of asphalt which leaves a shallow square indentation in the street surface. Residents are asked to slow down, obey traffic control measures and use caution in areas where this work has taken place. Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians will notice on-street areas with an uneven surface until final repairs are completed.
As asphalt paving work is weather dependent Public Works will be repairing these milled out areas as soon as possible given favorable weather conditions. The Town of Port Hawkesbury appreciates your patience while this work is completed and apologizes for any inconvenience.
