Granville Green 2018 Concert Series Announced

2018 Granville Green Concert Series
Port Hawkesbury, N.S. May 7, 2018  

The Town of Port Hawkesbury is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2018 Granville Green outdoor concert series which will be held each Sunday from July 1 to August 5 at 7:00 p.m.  This is our 24^th year for the free outdoor concerts held at the Granville Green band shell in Port Hawkesbury.  The series is presented by NuStar and Bear Head LNG with other community minded sponsors who support the series.  

Exxon Mobil is the proud presenter of the opening acts, and this year’s openers are all from Atlantic Canada.  It will be exciting to hear the great music our region has to offer; keep your eyes on these artists as they continue to grow and make us proud!

This year’s series features nationally-recognized artists as well regional favorites that will appeal to all ages. The 2018 Granville Green lineup is as follows:

July 1            Lennie Gallant with opener Cassie and Maggie
July 8             Steven Page with opener Jon Hines
July 15           Bruce Guthro with opener Jodi Guthro
July 22           The Town Heroes with opener Party Boots
July 29           Rawlins Cross with opener The Hypochondriacs        
August 5        Fred Penner with opener Dylan Menzie

As in prior years, the concerts are free and those attending are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating comfort.  Nonprofit groups will be fundraising by selling food and tickets each night, and contributions for the foodbank will be received weekly at the vending tent located next to the stage. In case of inclement weather, the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre will be used as the backup venue.
