By opening our facility in this phase, we will be meeting and exceeding social distancing guidelines, and provide ample space for everyone.

Q: Can I buy a day pass?

A: For this Phase one, only members will be able to access the facility. We are doing this temporary measure to ensure we can effectively measure our user capacity and support it with appropriate staffing and cleaning levels. However, if you wish to sign up for a new membership, we would welcome new members any time after our reopening on August 4.

Q: What is the facility layout like? Where are the classes being held?

A: In advance of our reopening on August 4th, we have moved fitness equipment to accommodate social distancing guidelines. We have a large facility and are fortunate to be able to leverage the space for our members.

Q: What else are you doing in regard to sanitation and reducing the spread of Covid-19?
A: To kick-start our safety and cleaning practices, we have performed a complete deep clean of the facility and many maintenance projects during the closure. The reduced facility hours and activity times are scheduled to support enhanced cleaning periods during the day and deep cleaning at night.

We have been diligently working on enhanced cleaning procedures by our staff, as well as posting best-practice guidelines within the facility for our members. We are also installing numerous new sanitation stations, floor markings, and plexi-glass at our check in location. Also, we will be following the standard practice of asking patrons to perform a self -disclosure questionnaire regarding Covid 19 symptoms. We ask that anyone who is exhibiting symptoms to leave the facility and call 811 for additional support. If a member does not comply with COVID protocol, their membership will be suspended.

When you arrive, you will be given a spray bottle of disinfectant and a cleaning cloth. You will be required to clean equipment both before and after using. Bottles will be collected by staff when you have finished your workout and disinfected for the next user. This will be enforced by staff. It is imperative that members follow this protocol. There will only be one warning given before the member is asked to leave. Frequent cleaning by staff of high-touch surfaces throughout the facility will also take place. These cleaning routines have been adapted to changes in activity and usage to ensure proper disinfecting and sanitation We have also set aside time in the afternoon to do a deep clean of the equipment prior to opening up for the rest of the day.

Q: Will the showers/locker rooms/saunas be available to use?

A: For the first phase of the launch, locker rooms, saunas and showers will remain unavailable. Public bathrooms are available in the concourse of the Civic Centre.

Please come to the facility in your workout attire and leave your valuables at home. Seating will be provided in the concourse of the Civic Centre to put on your workout sneakers. We are restricting access to our water fountains for bottle filling only, so you may find it more convenient to bring your own water bottle with you to the gym.

Q. What are the requirements for using the walking track?

A. We are asking all walkers on the track to walk clockwise. Please provide enough distance (6 feet) between you and your fellow walkers. If that is not possible, masks are suggested to be worn. Staff will be providing cleaning of high touch point areas.
