Notice to all person eligible to vote in the Town of Port Hawkesbury 2020 Municipal Election
Telephone and Electronic Voting is available for all eligible electors starting October 6, 2020 at 8:00 AM and will be will open for use 24 hours a day until October 17 at 7:00 PM.
You should have received your voter instruction letter in the mail. If you are an eligible voter and have not received your instruction letter please call the voter help line at 902 631 4464 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on week days and you will receive one.
When voting by telephone or by the internet if you experience any difficulties you can call the Voter Help Line and the Returning Officer or another election official will help you through the process. Voting Kiosks are also set up in the Returning Office in the Civic Centre. Personal help will be available there if you wish visit the Civic Centre to use them.
Voting by Internet or by telephone is a very secure way to cast your vote and is being used throughout the province. As we all work through these difficult times this new system allows you to vote from home and not be concerned about the effects of the Pandemic.
Voting in person at Advanced Poles on October 10 and 13 and Election Day October 17 is also available.
All In person polling stations will be located at the Bear Head Room of the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.
