Aquatics Head Guard

The Town of Port Hawkesbury is seeking applicants interested in the position of head guard at the Strait Area Pool.

Reporting to and taking direction from the Aquatics Coordinator, you will assist with program delivery and operations at the Strait Area Pool.

To be successful in this role you MUST:

  • Possess and maintain a valid National Lifeguard (NL) certification.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
  • Possess and maintain valid CPR certifications.
  • Be 18 years or older, with the ability to work day shifts, night shifts and weekend shifts.

The Strait Area Pool is currently in operation 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays).  It is open from September through to June and closed during the summer months.

The hourly rate of pay is $15.30.  This is a part time position.
