The Town of Port Hawkesbury is looking for dynamic individuals to join our Day Camp team for the summer. Day Camp staff is responsible for making the magic of camp happen. We are hiring a number of positions to support the operation of our Day Camps. The Opportunity

Summer Day Camp staff are responsible for providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children. They will ensure quality, inclusive, meaningful programming for all participants, and serve as a role model and mentor for children/youth participants. They will provide excellent customer service to participants and families, and complete necessary paperwork and safety-related tasks as needed. Qualifications

As an energetic, creative programmer, you bring:

· Demonstrated success in planning/organizing games, sports, arts, crafts, cultural activities, lead field trips, etc.

· Demonstrated communication skills to work with children, parents, and staff

· Demonstrated ability to meet multiple, competing deadlines and priorities

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on inclusion, diversity, equity and access.

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Abuse Registry Check.
