Strait Area Pool

The Strait Area Pool opened in 1977. It consists of a 6 lane 25 metre pool and a wading pool, both of which are used for Learn to Swim programming, Water Exercises, and Recreational Swimming. It is also a home to the PHAST Swim team.

Registration for Spring Recreation and Aquatics Programs will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 1st.

Spring Recreation and Aquatics Schedule

Our facilities include:

  • A seating area on the deck or in the bleachers for parents and friends to watch lessons or other activities
  • Full changing rooms with showers and lockers
  • Fully qualified lifeguards on duty at all times
  • Access to changing areas, the pool and recreation room for patrons with limited mobility

Under 5yrs must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

Inflatable obstacle course: ages 6 and up.

Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion

Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion including Emergency First Aid will be available for ages 13 and up on January 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th from 9AM-4PM. Please note: The fitness and endurance requirements are physically challenging.
