Leaf and Yard Waste Site Re-Opening

Notice to Residents

The Town of Port Hawkesbury Leaf and Yard Waste Site was closed on Saturday, June 3^rd due to Provincial restrictions for travel and activities in the woods. These restrictions have since been lifted in our region, as such the Leaf and Yard Waste Site on Crandall Road will be open for residents the afternoon of Tuesday, June 6^th from 1pm to 4pm.

The Town Leaf and Yard Waste Site accepts ONLY the following items:

Leaf and grass clippings
Hedge clippings
Tree branches/limbs

The site is normally open every SECOND Saturday morning from 8am to 12pm throughout the summer and fall, the next scheduled opening is Saturday, June 17^th. Additionally, the Town provides bi-weekly organic waste collection, which allows residents to dispose of leaf and yard waste in their organic green bin.
