Utility

Utility Bills are sent out four times a year by mail (unless you requested paperless):

• Sent: First week of February
  Due: February 28
• Sent: First week of May
  Due: May 31
  
• Sent: First week of August
  Due: August 31
  
• Sent: First week of November
  Due: November 30

Levy

The Town of Port Hawkesbury does an interim levy and a final levy. 

Interim Levy

• Sent: April
  Due: June 1

Final Levy

• Sent: July
• Due: October 1st

Bills are sent by mail or sign up for paperless billing.

Interest

Interest is charged in the amount of 1.25% per month which is 18% per year on overdue accounts.
You have 31 days from the date the assessment is mailed to appeal your assessment.

Payment Options

Payments can be made in-person, online or through mail. Please make sure you include your name and account number(s) with payment.

In Person

Residents can make payments at the Municipal Office, which is located at 606 Reeves St, Port Hawkesbury. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, money order, bank draft or debit.
